About IzzyDaRoach!

Hello all, my name is IzzyDaRoach. I am a self taught composer for over 9+ years. That's a lot of time! I'm a 21 year old Afro-Italian being. My pronouns are He/Him, however, over the years many people have mistaken me for the opposite gender. You could say I have a very DIVERSE personality! That being said, any pronouns are fine with me, as I accept being labeled as whatever assumption you got!

I primarily make Video Game Original Soundtracks for games that don't exist. It started as a means to not pay anyone to make music for a cartoon I was making at the time. Said cartoon was really garbage and ended up with 4 episodes scattered somewhere on youtube. After some odd years, I honed my skills as a composer and became even better and better. I've met a lot of creative people along the way and have done some awesome collaborations!

At some point, I'd say 2020, I wanted to compose for Sonic Rush 3D. A fan game that took Sonic Rush on the DS and made it completely 3D. I wanted to get some sort of portfolio going to show their team, and I ended up creating a Sonic OC named Izzy the Lemur! I made a concept soundtrack and sent it their way. Now in hindsight, I know it was not the best. But at least I tried! Nothing will ever matter if you don't try your hardest, so if you fail, at least you earned the right to complain if you tried your best! Anyway, I was rejected and I made it my mission to get even better so someone will see my value as not just a composer, but an artist as a whole. At some point after Izzy the Lemur 2, I ended up making a huge lore book because I'm into chronicling world building, story telling, and short poetry. It then became apparent I wanted to do more than showcase my (at the time it was traced :p) artwork and music. I wanted to tell stories too!

A creative yet odd idea was created when making these OSTs from that point. "What if I just put cutscenes in the OST videos?" I don't think I've seen anyone do this, neither did I know if people would like it or not. But I did it anyway! Because I liked making it! It's a very fun experience cobbaling all this music and artwork together to make cool albums that have a bit of story to em! At some point I noticed I gained a small following of about 500+ subs on YT and it's all uphill from there! I do think some of them aren't there for my originals, and are probably holding out hope for more remixes, but I am very happy with the usual 300 of my subscribers that do sit down and watch all of my silly little music lore videos!

You could be asking yourself as well, "Well why don't you just make video games?" Answer: I am not good at it. And I have tried. BUT! That doesn't mean with the right help it can't be done! So maybe in the future! But not right now.

At this point in time (2025), I live out my days thrifting/hanging with a really close friend of mine, Arguing about movies with my other friend, chatting about Nintendo with my friends, Working (augh), and making content! (when I can ofc :p)

Uhm here are some things I like!

Mario, Sonic, Demon Slayer, Gachiakuta, Dragon Ball, Monster High, Calico Critters, Comics, Kirby, Legend of Zelda, One Piece, Mob Psycho 100, Sanrio (I LOVE BADTZ-MARU!!), Retro Gaming, RPGs, Octopath Traveler, Poems, Graphic Novels, Transformers. That's all I got rn haha.

Here's some fun facts about me! (haha "about me")

1. My favorite color is purple! 2. I have texture issues and it makes me vomit food I don't like. 3. I have perfect pitch. 4. I have a cool figure collection! 5. I also collect and own LOTS of pokemon cards! 6. I am very pretty and handsome. 7. I own every home Nintendo console. 8. I really like ALT, SCENE, and Y2K aesthetics, they are very attractive to me. 9. I own a Sanyo CRT Television that I play all my retro consoles on, including my Switch 1. 10. I try to the best of my ability to make others happy!
